Crosswalk rage

An apparent case of crosswalk rage resulted in a young man being dragged from his car and beaten in Pacific Beach early this morning.Police said the victim was driving on Jewell Street near Garnet Street about 1:40 a.m. when he honked his horn at a pedestrian in the roadway. The pedestrian then assaulted the driver, who was taken to a hospital with severe head trauma.

Woman steps out of taxi into path of motorcycle in Pacific Beach

SAN DIEGO – A woman who police said was intoxicated was seriously hurt in Pacific Beach early Thursday morning when she got out of the back of a taxicab and stepped into the path of a motorcycle.Police said the woman, who is in her 20s, closed the door, turned and walked into oncoming traffic on Riviera Drive near Fortuna Avenue about 12:40 a.m., police said.
